Nesting Bird Survey on Nash Island 1995

In June of 1995, Donna Kausen met with a crew of four from Petit Manan Wildlife Refuge to conduct a walking survey of Nash Island nesting birds.

On that day they counted the following:

  • 98 Eider nests
  • 215 Herring Gull Nests
  • 14 Black Back Gull nets
  • 184 empty gull nets

Many Savannah Sparrows were also viewed and assumed to be nesting on the island.
